Objec­ti­ves

I will guide you on this uni­que jour­ney of self-dico­very through pot­tery. Take a sen­sory stroll, using your hands to touch and shape the clay. Allow your heart, hands,and soul to lead you to encoun­ter the artist who dwells within each and eve­ryone of us.

Con­tents

  • Dis­co­ver: The tac­tile qua­li­ties of cera­mic raw mate­rials.
  • Dis­co­ver: Various sto­ne­ware clays and por­ce­lain.
  • Dis­co­ver: Hand buil­ding tech­ni­ques, inclu­ding, pinch pots, coi­ling, model­ling, and slab buil­ding.
  • Dis­co­ver: The magic of the pot­ter’s wheel. (demons­tra­tion )
No prior expe­rience is requi­red for this intro­duc­tory course.

Loca­tion

La Borne is situa­ted in the heart of France bet­ween the his­to­ric city of Bour­ges and the vineyards of San­cerre. Sur­roun­ded by forest, this tra­di­tio­nal pot­ter’s vil­lage has exis­ted for over  three cen­tu­ries. The work­shops and two holi­day cot­ta­ges are loca­ted in the vil­lage in a pea­ce­ful and attrac­tive envi­ron­ment.

Fee for the work­shop: 460 €

25 hours of ins­truc­tion, 5 hours per day
A depo­sit of 150 € is requi­red at the time of boo­king.
